What’s Wholesale Dropshipping And What Will It Do For My Online Venture

Sunday, October 19th, 2008

Wholesale dropshipping is a great way to get your new internet product sales business off of the ground. Before you actually get up and running, make sure that you have a good understanding of wholesale drop shipping services and how they work. You should also make sure you know the good points and the bad points of using a drop shipping company. If you spend some time researching and planning, then wholesale drop shipping can help you succeed in business.

What is drop shipping? It simply means that you will rely on your supplier to ship their products directly to your customers, eliminating the need for you to handle any inventory. All you need is an online store front to show the products and a few email auto responders set up to deal with customer queries and you are good to go. Most wholesale suppliers will, for a small fee, put your companies name, address, and phone number on the package labeling so that you are represented as the end seller. A wholesale dropshipper will, however, require you to adjust your pricing to accommodate the cost of shipping. Unless you increase your prices, you could end up with a very small margin of profit, or even losses.

There are many advantages to wholesale dropshipping. The biggest one is that, by taking orders from your customers and passing them off to your supplier, you will have very little, if any, cash output upfront. Another advantage is the lack of inventory to deal with. Dropshipping products directly from your supplier to your customers will eliminate the need to store inventory or worry about rotating stock. Also, your inventory will never get outdated. To rotate your products, you simply need to change the products on your website and find a wholesaler who is willing to drop ship items to your customers for you.

Wholesale dropshipping, unfortunately, has some disadvantages as well. The biggest one is that there are many people out there posing as reputable dropshipping companies who will scam you and take your money without shipping you anything. For this reason, before you enter into an agreement for wholesale drop shipping, you should be sure that the company you want to work with is legitimate. Inventory numbers are a big problem as well. One of the worst things that can happen is for you to accept an order from a customer and find out that your wholesale drop shipper has the product on backorder. You need to be sure that you have a open line of communication with your supplier so that your website stays current and your customers stay happy.

If you are a business owner, whether it is in a traditional retail store, office or simply from home, you have to be on the lookout for the best deals in everything. Drop shipping is no exception. You have to have reliable rates, service and a commitment to getting that product out to customers. There are tricks to the trade but you have to read up on these tools of service if you want to keep your business in the black and still keep it growing. Wasting your hard earned money on ridiculous shipping is not the way to go. To gain the knowledge you need: “Click Here

What is Dropshipping and How Drop Shipping Really Works

Thursday, July 10th, 2008

by Thomas Griffin

Do you know how to do it? I know exactly how it works …

Drop shipping can be an easy way to get started selling online. Since the manufacturer or distributor takes care of warehousing and shipping, you’ll be able to concentrate your efforts on building your site and marketing your products. And this is what most entrepreneurs are good at.

When searching for a product to drop ship, don’t spend money on “drop shipping directories.” Think about it: Not only is their information frequently out of date, but everyone who buys these lists will be contacting the same companies, which means more competition for the products you’ll be selling.

And choose your products carefully:

1. Make sure there aren’t already hundreds of sites selling the same thing at prices you can’t afford to compete with.

2. Choose products that target a “niche” market rather than “everyone.” You’ll always be more successful with ..
